Hey there! I’m a seeker of wisdom, a husband, and a father. I started this blog to dive deep into the Bible. I aim to unpack its timeless truths and grow closer to Christ.
My faith journey has been a winding road. It began with Unitarian Universalism and led to atheism. Eventually, I found myself with a God-shaped hole in my heart and only Jesus could fill this void. He saved me, and now I’m passionate about sharing what I’m learning along the way.
I write the way I think, conversationally, through dialogue and iteration. AI serves as my conversation partner in developing these pieces. The ideas emerge from my experience and reflection. The articulation emerges from our collaboration.
I’m inspired by the truth that wisdom grows when we acknowledge the limits of our own understanding. Luke 8:16—“No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a jar or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a stand, so that those who enter may see the light.” This verse reminds me not to hide my faith. I should live it boldly as an example to the world. I hope these reflections memorialize my own journey. I also hope they encourage others to seek wisdom. Maybe they will even meet Christ for themselves.
When I’m not poring over the Bible, you’ll find me playing board games, indulging my cinephile side with a good film, cooking up a feast for my family and friends (it’s how I show love!), or landing an extremely niche joke to make my wife laugh. Influenced by thinkers like C.S. Lewis, John Lennox, and Voddie Baucham, I’m reflective and sincere. I always ponder the depths of faith, the nature of existence, and the big questions that shape our reality.
