Meek — iOS app

Who we are

Meek is an apologetics practice app operated by AfterPew Ministries LLC, based in Indiana, USA. Meek lets you practice answering real objections to the Christian faith out loud, and gives you coaching on your answer.

You do not create an account

Meek has no sign-up, no login, and no password. The first time you open the app, a random anonymous identifier is generated for your device. That identifier is the only thing tying your practice history together. It is not connected to your name, your email, your phone number, or your Apple ID.

What we store

  • The random anonymous identifier described above.
  • The practice topics you choose during onboarding.
  • The text of your answers — either what you typed, or the transcript of what you said.
  • The coaching feedback you received, and how many attempts you have made.

What we never store

  • Your audio. When you record an answer, the recording is sent for transcription and then discarded. AfterPew never keeps a copy of your voice.
  • Your name, email address, or contact information.
  • Your location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers.

Outside services Meek uses

Meek uses the outside services listed below. Scoring an answer involves the first two, OpenAI and the Apologist Project; both receive your answer, and neither receives anything that identifies you. Meek never collects your name, email, or contact details, so none of these services receives them from us.

  • OpenAI — receives your audio recording for the sole purpose of producing a transcript, and returns the text. Under OpenAI’s API terms, this data is not used to train their models. OpenAI may retain it briefly for abuse monitoring under their own policy.
  • Apologist Project (Fusion grader at meek.gospel.bot) — receives the text of your answer and the objection you were answering, and returns the coaching feedback. It never receives audio and never receives your identifier.
  • Real Voices’ database, hosted on Supabase — serves Bible text and Ask Augustine content, and stores your anonymous practice history.
  • YouTube — plays teaching videos (see Scripture and video below).
  • Meek’s own Supabase database — stores Suggest an Objection submissions (see below).
  • Telegram — a private Telegram group is notified of each new Suggest an Objection submission.
  • Expo — the framework Meek is built on. Its baseline crash diagnostics collect basic, anonymous information such as app version and crash data.

Ask Augustine

Augustine is an AI, not a person. What you type is sent through Real Voices’ database, hosted on Supabase, to the Apologist Project (Fusion API), which generates the reply. Your questions are not linked to your practice history and are not used to identify you.

Suggest an Objection

If you send in an objection through Suggest an Objection, Meek stores only the objection text, your optional note, and the app version, tied to your device’s anonymous identifier. Suggestions are kept in Meek’s own Supabase database, separate from Real Voices’ database. A private Telegram group is notified of each new suggestion. We do not ask for or collect your name or email.

Scripture and video

Bible text is served from Real Voices’ database, hosted on Supabase — the Berean Standard Bible, the King James Version, and the Accessible Ancients Bible.

Teaching videos play through YouTube’s embedded player. When a video plays, YouTube and Google receive data about that playback under their own policies rather than ours. By using Meek you also agree to YouTube’s Terms of Service and Google’s Privacy Policy.

Meta Muse

If you connect Meek inside Meta’s Muse agent, Muse sends Meek the request you made, and Meek returns drills or Bible passages. Meta handles your Muse account and conversations under its own privacy policy. You can disconnect Meek in Muse at any time.

What stays on your phone only

Your saved library and your reading progress live on your device and are not uploaded to us.

What we do with it

Your topics decide which objections you are shown. Your past attempts on an objection are given to the coach so it can tell when you have improved. That is the whole of it.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it for advertising, tracking, or profiling. Meek contains no third-party analytics SDK and no ad or tracking code; the only diagnostics it collects are Expo’s baseline crash diagnostics, described above.

Deleting your data

Open Settings inside the app and tap Delete My Data. This permanently deletes your transcripts, your practice history, and your profile record from Real Voices’ database, hosted on Supabase, and clears your saved items, reading progress, and Ask Augustine conversations from the phone. It cannot be undone, and we keep no backup copy of it afterward.

You can also email us and we will delete it for you — see below.

Children

Meek is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
